Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking experienced and dynamic Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to join our team in Vernon, B.C. We have unique term certain part time opportunities available!

As the NP you work with members of the care team at the new Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC). The NOK UPCC team will consist of general practitioners (GPs), nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurse team lead, primary care registered nurses (RNs), social workers (SWs), medical office assistants (MOAs), and a dedicated operational manager. UPCC will focus on a range of vulnerable and underserved populations within the community including those with complex psychosocial, financial, mental health and substance use and/or behavior challenges.

Aligned with the future overarching vision of the North Okanagan (NOK) Primary Care Network (PCN), the NOK Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) will augment the existing same day access to primary care in the NOK currently provided by the network of family practices and is intended to improve access to same day care for patients. The NOK UPCC will also serve as a patient medical home and attach patients in need of longitudinal primary care.

Be part of this great new service as it gets underway and help build the rotations! There will be various start and stop times with shorter and extended shifts with NP coverage required 7 days per week including stats, holidays.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:

• Current registration and exam qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP)
• Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
• Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience
• Valid Driver’s License
