As the General Office Clerk, you are our first line of contact in the Nanaimo office. In this role, you will provide clerical and administrative support to ensure an efficient and organized office. Working in a highly confidential environment, your discretion is used when answering client inquiries, filing records, entering data into electronic systems and communicating with families. Using your ability to multi-task and prioritize, you play an essential role to the daily operational activities. Being eager to learn and with your outgoing personality that enables you to build positive relationships with coworkers, clients and other MCFD staff, you will be a vital asset to the administrative team and district office.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- Experience working in an office setting.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Post-Secondary Administrative course work.
- Experience working in a Social Services setting
- Experience with ORCs/ARCs.
- Experience working with ICM (Integrated Case Management) and Management Information System (MIS)
