As an Office Assistant, under the supervision of the Office Manager and the Administrative Float Coordinator, you are the first line of contact in our offices within our East Fraser Service Delivery Area. In this role, you will provide clerical and administrative support to ensure an efficient and organized office. Working in a highly confidential environment, your discretion is used when answering client enquiries, filing records, entering data into electronic systems and communicating with families. Using your ability to multi-task and prioritize, you play an essential role to the daily operational activities. Being eager to learn and with your outgoing personality that enables you to build positive relationships with coworkers, clients and other MCFD staff, you will be a vital asset to the administrative team.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1-year recent experience (within the last 2 years) providing administrative support in an office setting.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 BC driver’s license without restrictions.
Preference be given to applicants with:
- Certification of keyboarding with speed and accuracy with a minimum of 40 words per minute by a reputable institution such as Douglas College, Sprott Shaw, CDI (Surrey/Abbotsford), Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
- 6 months or more experience working in a computerized environment using computer applications and databases such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
