JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:
Office Administrator

Salary:
$23.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date:
As soon as possible

Permanent Full-Time

Employment Conditions
Weekdays (9am to 5pm) in hotel back office. Weekends may be required on certain occasions such as busy periods (long weekends and statutory holidays), However the candidate would be given a day off during the week in lieu of the weekend day worked.

Languages

Education
High School completion is required

Experience
Previous experience of having worked in the office based environment in an office administration role would be an asset.
OR
A degree or diploma in public or business administration would also be an asset

Specific Skills

Prepare, key in and edit invoices, reports and related material from machine dictation and handwritten copy
Establish work priorities, assign work to support staff and ensure deadlines are met.
Work with Hotel management and other department supervisors to ensure that the day to day hotel operations run smoothly
Order office supplies and maintain inventory
Setup and maintain manual and computerized information filling system
Provide administrative support to management and other staff
Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures
Prepare and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Collect data and prepare reports and correspondence as required and directed by company management
You will have very little interaction with hotel guests
Oversee administrative procedures
Additional Skills and Personal Suitability
Organized, Ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and using other office equipment
Good communication skills

Security and Safety
Health regulations, safety standards and departmental and compny policies should always be taken into consideration
