FPR (First Peoples Radio) is looking for an Office Administrator who will be responsible for serving visitors by greeting, welcoming and directing them appropriately and professionally while performing a variety of general administrative activities for the Toronto station.
Screens incoming calls, retrieves general voicemail messages, and re-directs to the appropriate person or department;
Sorts and routes incoming mail and packages;
Assists Operations and General Sales Manager on sales and programming presentations;
Analyzes listener responses / inquiries, complaints and other related information and prepares reports accordingly, when required;
Orders and maintains an inventory of office supplies;
May assist with backing up creative writer for sales and spec spots;
Assists in developing new processes that will contribute to the station’s performance;
Communicates with listeners ensuring that an effective flow of information is shared;
Integrates listener shout outs and requests into the mix;
Assists On-air and with scheduling of music;
Provides orientation for new team members;
Ensures the secure handling and storage of confidential documents.
Requirements & Experience
A degree /diploma in a relevant discipline and 2 – 4 years related experience; or equivalent; combination of education and experience;
Broad knowledge of music and current events for the 25 to 54 demographic;
Awareness of the city and area within our broadcast coverage;
Experience with an Indigenous organization and culture is an asset;
Proficiency with Internet, E-mail and other business related computer software is required.
