Position Summary

Are you a PARR nurse who is easy-going, adaptable, and enjoys working as part of a team? Then we have an exciting nursing opportunity for you within our team here at Royal Inland Hospital’s Post Anesthetic Recovery Room!This is on-call attached to some shifts.

Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) has a busy surgical services department. Services provided vary from Daycare Surgery to Critical Care, Inpatient/Outpatient, Elective/Urgent and Emergency services. The patient population spans from pediatric to the elderly. The RIH PAR department has a team atmosphere with solid leadership. There is excellent support from the Patient Care Coordinator, the Educator and the Manager.

RIH is a tertiary referral hospital located in Kamloops serving the Thompson/Cariboo/Shuswap region of Interior Health. Kamloops is located in a scenic valley in BC’s Thompson Okanagan Region at the junction of the North and South Thompson Rivers. It is British Columbia’s third largest city. Residents of this dynamic and growing community enjoy a unique combination of urban amenities and stunning natural surroundings. Qualifications
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the
British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of critical care nursing and one year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on a post anesthetic room or critical care environment similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
