Position Summary
Interior Health is looking for a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Coordinator, Pandemic Response to join our team in Kelowna, B.C.! If you have a broad knowledge of healthcare and system and service delivery models, then this is the position for you!

About the Role:

The PPE Coordinator (Range 6) is responsible for supporting the essential PPE allocation across IH as part of the Pandemic Response portfolio. The PPE Coordinator will work with key internal & external stakeholders on PPE requirements and availability, while supporting the Pandemic Response Coordination Centre.

This is a temporary full time position until December 3, 2021. Days of work are Monday to Friday and hours of work at 08:00 to 16:00.

Some Key Duties may include:

• Works closely with the PPE Central Supply Hubs at all sites to ensure proper top-up of PPE based off of established par levels. Adjusts allocations based off of provincial supply chain constraints.

• Provides access to the Logistics team site for authorized PPE Central Supply Hub users, and manages the list of authorized users.

• Collaborates with Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) supply chain to coordinate top-ups to sites, coordinates with PHSA to address supply shortages or recalls and assists in ensuring proper communication to impacted stakeholders.

• Collaborates with the Pandemic Response team, Medical Affairs and Clinical Network Directors, and leaders to identify, develop, implement, evaluate, and report on the impact and outcomes of PPE to services/programs, strategic initiatives, and/or pandemic responses.

• Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders through Contract Reports to address out of process PPE demands and requirements. Bases decisions off of existing provincial direction and local supply levels.

• Collaborates with PHSA supply chain, clinical groups, and Network Directors to identify, develop, implement, evaluate, and report on PPE forecasts, projections and escalates any urgent concerns in PPE supply.

• Assists in PPE forecasting, and planning analyses for use by the Director of Logistics and Support Services, senior leadership, program managers, and healthcare providers as well as for public information.

• Provides relevant reporting (IH and provincial PPE dashboards, Par level reporting) in coordination with the Pandemic Response Data and Reporting lead in response to strategic and corporate services, senior executive, and program level requests for information and analysis.

• Reviews planning and evaluation documents as well as plans for allocating resources and provides appropriate information and feedback.
• Develops a strong working relationship with Workplace Health & Safety, program managers, directors, senior executive, finance, and others who require information for planning, managing, and evaluating PPE. Project support may include planning project deliverables and identifying data sources and appropriate methods to support planning, data analyses, writing summary reports, and preparing presentations.

• Responds to PPE data and information requests from staff at all levels of the organization. Provides support and technical advice to staff on the use of PPE reporting, tracking and ordering resources and applications.

• Works with Pandemic Response data and reporting, representatives of other Health Authorities and other data custodians to support strategic information, analysis, interpretation, and reporting initiatives.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• A post-secondary degree with completed course work in a health-related discipline and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preference will be given to a candidate with a strong workplace health and safety or logistics background.
• Experience working in a complex computerized environment.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a coordinator with decision making responsibility, and detailed reporting is preferred.
