This posting will be used to fill two positions, one focused on privacy and legislation reporting to the Director of Privacy and Legislation and another focused on policy and research reporting to the Director of Strategic Data Policy.

The Integrated Data Division has been created to provide a safe and trusted place to make new discoveries with Crown data. By integrating data from across ministry programs, government can answer critical policy questions and improve the lives of British Columbians. The division creates corporate data science capabilities that support government itself innovating with data, working with ministries and crowns to solve government’s most challenging social, economic and environmental challenges.
The two Senior Policy Analyst positions will coordinate and lead the research, analysis, development and implementation of strategic policies and legislation for the Integrated Data Division.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Degree in public administration, business administration, law or equivalent. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience including:
- The development or analysis of legislation, regulation and/or policy.
- Planning and coordinating complex projects/assignments.
- Concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents/content.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience in an information management or privacy context.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience in data management legislation, policy or governance.
