Reporting to the President, the Provost and Vice-President, Academic will be a key member of the senior administrative team of the University and will champion excellence and innovation in teaching, scholarship and service to the community. The Provost will lead the faculty in the implementation of the academic plan in alignment with the University’s Strategic Plan and in collaboration with the broader community. As Mount Royal continues to grow as a university, the Provost will work with a strong team of Deans and Associate Vice-Presidents to maintain a focus on students, community engagement and the integration of teaching and research. Working collaboratively with faculty and academic leaders, the Provost will build upon a strong history of pedagogical innovation and facilitate the collaborative development of Mount Royal’s existing strengths and experience in curriculum development, course delivery, strategic community partnerships, essential experiential learning opportunities, and undergraduate research opportunities.

You have a demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively to provide a superior learning environment for students and increased research opportunities for faculty. An active listener with a history of managing change in a consultative manner, you will lead team driven solutions that foster a vibrant academic culture and support faculty as they strive for continual enhancement of their teaching and scholarship. You are an accomplished professor with a successful record of senior academic administrative leadership and an understanding of research activity and its place in an undergraduate university.
