Position Summary
Put your nursing skills to the test and come join the team at the Invermere & District Hospital! We are looking for a self-directed, motivated, reliable and flexible Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a rural environment.

The Invermere & District Hospital is located in the heart of Invermere on Lake Windermere and has 8 acute care beds (2 with heart monitors), 1 Labour & Delivery room, a cast room and 47 residential beds. There is also a 12 stretcher emergency department on site which is particularly busy during the winter ski season and summer vacation period, when there is an influx of visitors from all over; attracted by the scenic outdoors and recreation opportunities.

The ideal Registered Nurse applicant will be a strong communicator, have great time management and organization skills and a keen interest in learning and developing their skill set and patient care. Education sessions are run regularly at the site and there may be the opportunity for casual RN employees to obtain a funded place on a specialty education program.

The scenic community of Invermere is nestled in the valley between BC’s Rocky and Purcell Mountain Ranges. As the economic hub of the Columbia Valley, Invermere boasts a healthy tourism industry, as well as activity in forestry, mining and agriculture. If you enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle, you will find something here for you!
