Salary $55,422.02 – $63,164.54 annually
This is a temporary opportunity until March 31, 2018, with the possibility of extension. Regular employees must have their supervisor’s approval prior to applying on the temporary opportunity. This posting is not limited to the geographic area. Board and lodging and relocation expenses do not apply.
The Resource Revenue Specialist provides senior technical advisory services for forest tenures in the Sea to Sky District to support natural resource decision making. You will also conduct application/proposal analysis; coordinate the work of staff on technical projects; test and implement new technologies and standards; and conduct data gathering and technical evaluation of physical evidence using advanced software.

The successful candidate is a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working alone and conducting field work in remote areas. They are a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving abilities, able to successfully negotiate with stakeholders and represent the Ministry at meetings, workshops and conferences. Qualifications for this role include:

Diploma in natural resource management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Registered, or immediately eligible for registration as a Registered Forest Technologist or equivalent with the Association of B.C. Forest Professionals. *Confirmation of eligibility for registration immediately upon employment with the Ministry may be required. Applicants must contact ABCFP to confirm their eligibility.
Related experience working in natural resource management.
Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management.
