Position Summary
Exciting opportunity available for a nurse who is passionate and experienced in mental health and substance use!

If you are open, flexible, have sound substance use experience and enjoy working autonomously in a rural mental health environment, this is the position for you! Apply today to join our mental health team in Chase.

As the Mental Health Nurse, you will provide urgent outreach, responsive assessment and treatment, case management, GP shared care, education, and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use. This position will work 1 day in the newly established OAT Clinic on Tuesdays and then will perform regular MHSU nursing duties on Thursdays.

This relief position will work Tuesdays and Thursdays 08:30 to 16:30 and is scheduled to end October 13, 2020.

Graduation from an approved school of nursing.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).

Two (2) years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current valid B.C. driver’s license.

Experience in Substance Use is an asset.
