Reporting directly to the Manager in Supply Chain, the Senior e-Procurement Administrator will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and system administration for Supply Chain owned systems, master data, and navigating issues and requests relating to the technology that may arise from Suppliers and internal customers.

General Accountabilities:

  • Advise Manager on process and continuous improvements that align to the Supply Chain’s IT roadmap
  • Lead efforts with IT & Supply Chain installing upgrades/maintenance releases/patches, as needed. Where required,work with IT technical team to identify and resolve connectivity issues with Suppliers and internal customers
  • Lead and support high levels of self-service to Hydro One suppliers and internal stakeholders through enablement and maintenance of self-service Supply Chain owned technologies
  • Lead the administration of all Supply Chain owned systems (For example: Fieldglass Contingent Worker and Statement of Work modules, Ariba Sourcing, Contract Management and Supplier Information and Performance Management modules and Taulia systems)
  • Provide guidance to junior resource on day-to-day system administration for Supply Chain owned systems and technologies
  • Ensure system admin configuration complies with Hydro One policies, standards and business processes
  • Maintain configuration Supply Chain system solution documentation
  • Maintain catalogues
  • Assist in providing end user training for Supply Chain owned systems
  • Provide process support for the Sourcing and Contract Management teams
  • Coordinate with Sourcing teams in Supplier Enablement activities that will enable suppliers in Procurement systems
  • Work with supply chain teams to manage users & group roles and permission access, approval rules, exception types and control processes
  • Ensure execution of business rules in the data quality and clean up
  • Develop documentation and guidelines related to Procurement systems and processes issue resolution, as required
  • Perform other duties, as required

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Requires a sound knowledge of computer theory, hardware and software, configurations and computercommunication networks relative to electronic data interchange to determine technical options and provide support services on the implementation and operation of Procurement systems.
  • Knowledge of database standards, security and integrity to assist in ensuring eProcurement programs and system operation meet legal and audit requirements.
  • Requires knowledge of data management and integrated communications, programming concepts and operating systems fundamentals to work with computer technical groups and function as a technical expert in eProcurement.
  • Requires strong written and oral communication skills to participate in national and international standards associations, to write implementation guidelines and to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • This knowledge is normally acquired through the completion of 4 years of University degree (i.e. Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration).
  • Requires Sourcing and Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience with national and international standards associations, eProcurement concepts, standards and technology, in order to provide technical advice and support services to vendors and clients.
  • Experience in a computer environment (i.e. Cloud based solutions) to be familiar with various types of hardware and software packages, system testing, configuration and maintenance of Supply Chain owned systems, data modeling, integrated applications and the interrelationships between various local area networks, ERP systems and electronic data interchange technology. Requires experience in the procurement function to be familiar with the business processes involved, the general procurement policies and procedures, and have experience building a relationship with vendors.
  • Requires experience in providing training and technical support services and in establishing system guidelines and user documentation.
  • Requires an understanding of the procedures and practices of the department, the interrelationships with other departments and other requisitioning groups of the company. A period of over 4 years and up to and including 6 years is considered necessary to gain this experience
