As the Senior Executive Officer (Brantford Campus) and the President’s senior representative in Brantford, you have two core functions: work with academic and administrative leaders to support opportunities and strategies that advance Laurier’s strategic priorities and mission, and build strong relationships with the Brantford campus’s partners and stakeholders. You are, in essence, a bridge — you link the University to the City of Brantford, the communities of the surrounding region, and Indigenous communities including Six Nations and Mississauga of the Credit; you support academic and administrative leaders on campus and help strengthen the connection with their colleagues on other campuses; you support the vibrant partnerships of Laurier with other post-secondary education providers; and you seek new avenues to grow and advance Laurier’s excellence and differentiated approach to post-secondary education.
As the ideal candidate, you are a confident, influential, collaborative, consensus-building and supportive leader. Throughout your career, you have built relationships founded on trust and respect. You have the reputation, good judgement, and communications skills to offer senior-level leadership on campus, at the executive table, and with partner communities.
