Retail Banking and Wealth Management serves millions of customers worldwide through our branch network, call centres, and digital and mobile banking. We also connect institutional and retail clients with investment opportunities through our Global Asset Management division.

A day in the life of a/an Senior Product Manager, Deposits & Transactions Banking include the following:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, developing and implementing products and programs designed to profitably grow the Deposits and Transaction Banking customer base. HSBC operates a relationship based model and its target customer segments are defined by the Bank’s Premier, Advance and Retail propositions.

Principle Accountabilities:

    • Collaborate with key business stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Risk, Finance) to guarantee sound business practices are applied at all times
    • Works with distribution channels to assess product and process suitability and then developing recommendations to ensure respective policy and associated processes meets customer needs and is supportive of sustainable long-term profit
    • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
    • Leads product knowledge and sales support providing effective support and communication for all distribution channels
    • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
    • Safeguard operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards by assessing, testing and amending where required on an end-to-end basis
    • Adhere to and implement local and Group Level policies by liaising with all relevant stakeholders in a judicious manner
    • Ensure that all employees are aware of and effectively identify and manage applicable money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), sanctions and reputational risks.
    • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum eight years proven and progressive experience or equivalent, including a minimum of four years proven senior management experience
  • Superior planning, decision making, analytical and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of communicating effectively across a broad range of internal counterparts and with customer groups
  • Recognized achievements of leadership in a team-based environment
