Provide primary operational, technical and project implementation support to Hydro One Telecom’s Operating & Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) infrastructure and platforms.
Provide a broad range of expert operational support to the OSS/BSS IT infrastructure systems, especially the network management systems deployed by Hydro One Telecom to operate commercial and power system networks and systems.
Maintain the OSS network management system infrastructure to ensure stability and to accommodate business changes.
Design, develop and implement OSS solutions to support Hydro One Telecom and customers’ businesses.
Plan and manage the execution and delivery of OSS/BSS hardware and operating system installs and upgrades.
Provide expert technical support to technical/business managers of Hydro One Telecom to leverage OSS/BSS tools in meeting business objectives.
Develop technical documents and guidelines for operation and maintenance of the OSS/BSS solutions with the objective of improving operational efficiency, system stability and maintainability.
Manage and participate in OSS/BSS and other system projects independently.
Be responsible for the work of staff assigned to specific projects or sub-projects by planning, organizing, assigning and checking their work, and giving advice, guidance and direction as necessary, in a working environment which is consistent with the philosophy and goals of continuous quality improvement.
Participate in after hours on-call support rotation.
Perform other duties as required.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in key HOT OSS applications including HP Operations Bridge, HP Openview Service Desk, HP Network Node Manager, Ericsson Granite Inventory, ESRI ArcFM, CA Performance Manager, SAP Business Objects, Zabbix.
Installation and upgrade experience for various OSS (Operations Support Systems) application systems (as noted above).
Strong background in installation, configuration and support of server infrastructure including HP, Dell equipment and Linux, Windows Server operating systems.
Experience with VMware based virtualization technology.
Ability to produce technical documentation and deliver operations training on operational topics.
Experience in analyzing system performance and failures and providing system recommendations.
Strong UNIX/Linux Shell scripting capabilities.
Experience in computer programming (eg. Perl/Python, Java) and querying of relational database management systems using SQL.
Project management experience of small to medium size projects.
Four year university education in computer science, or equivalent.
