Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing and executing the production of North and South Indian dishes in a fast-paced working environment. The right candidate will provide hands-on culinary skill to deliver excellent quality food and service to our customers.

Job Duties:

  • Plan, direct and execute food preparation and cooking;
  • Prepare and cook complete south and north Indian lunches and dinners, working with meat, vegetable and sea-foods;
  • Adapt dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances;
  • Ensure inconsistent and high-quality food preparation and presentation;
  • Participate in planning new menus and creating new recipes;
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained, refrigerators and storerooms are organized, and all food products are safely stored;
  • Ensure all safe food handling procedures are followed;
  • Supervise and train junior cooks;
  • Participate in daily and weekly inventory checks and ensure the requisite food and kitchen supplies are stocked.

Minimum Skills Requirements:

  • Completion of high school;
  • Vocational school or college in food preparation is required;
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience cooking in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience cooking Kerala and Tandoor dishes; and
  • Professional attitude and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
