Salary: $22.15 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week

– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required

– Completion of secondary (high) school is required

– 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience as a cook/chef in an established restaurant is required.

– Experience of working in a Japanese restaurant and/or knowledge on Japanese cuisine are assets

Job duties

– Prepare and cook Japanese Ramen noodle dishes and other Japanese tapas/appetizers;

– Prepare stock for ramen noodle dishes;

– Plan special menus for the location;

– Ensure food meets quality standards of Kinton Ramen;

– Instruct and direct cooks in preparation, garnishing and presentation of food and in new cooking techniques;

– Supervise cooks and kitchen staff;

– Plan and create new menus and recipes;

– Control and manage requisition of food, kitchen supplies, and equipment;

– Oversee kitchen operation;

– Update and implement kitchen operation;

– Estimate food requirements based on the sales forecast or the number of reservations received for the day
