Land and Resource Coordinator
Scientific/Technical Officer R24 – Resource

This position will be supporting the provincial caribou recovery program.

Reporting to a team lead and working in a variety of settings, the Land and Resource Coordinator works in diverse teams, gathers and manages complex natural resource data, completes analysis and develops options, provides advice to statutory decision makers, facilitates and coordinates projects and engages directly with a wide variety of stakeholders to support land/resource management decisions and resolve complex stewardship issues.

Job Requirements: 

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • A Technical Diploma in a natural resource management related field (e.g., Forestry, Geography, or Natural Resource Management) or an equivalent combination of education/training plus, 2 or more years’ experience working in a natural resource discipline
  • Advance training in project management.
  • Preference given to those with experience providing project management support to a remote, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing multiple projects or leading a component (e.g., sub-project) of a major project.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing relationships with senior level stakeholders and leading consultation sessions.
  • Valid B.C. driver’s licence.
