Reporting to a manager, the Senior Authorizations First Nations Liaison is accountable for making natural resource authorizations decisions and recommendations on complex applications or against complex legislation and regulations.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree in a natural resource field or a related field, and 4 years of experience working in natural resource management.
  • Experience in negotiating/mediating solutions in natural resource management, including experience participating in consultation/negotiations with First Nations.
  • Experience working with resource management processes.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience leading, coaching and mentoring staff.

Provisos/Willingness Statements:

  • Valid B.C. driver’s license or equivalent.
  • Meet safety standards of WorkSafe BC
  • Conduct field work which may include travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, overnight or extended stay in rough camp conditions and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
