Position: Subway Manager
Subsidiary: Siksika Nation Food and Beverage GP Ltd. / Siksika Nation Subway
Term: 3 Year Contract
Salary: Commensurate as per approved SRDL Salary Classification

What is the Opportunity?

The position of Subway Manager is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about food and leading a team of sandwich artists to great success! As Manager, you will have the opportunity to train at the Subway University in the USA for two weeks, followed by two weeks of intensive, on the job training at a successful franchise location.

General Statement of Duties (not limited to the following): 

Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness and safety. Daily activities include managing the store and support staff, recruitment, marketing, budgets, resolving conflict, enforcing procedures, handling staff communications, and dealing with customer service and relations. This person is also responsible for inventory and orders, daily cash balances and deposits as required, maintaining books, scheduling and reporting.

The Manager must be available outside of working hours in case of emergencies. Experience:

  • Food service experience in a retail environment
  • Leadership Skills – be recognized as a committed, responsible and thoughtful leader; you will be responsible for effectively leading shift staff and establishing rapport with all staff to create a fun, interesting and hardworking place of business;
  • Organization Skills – with a wide variety of details needing to be managed at any given time, you are able to stay focused and multitask; and
  • Friendly and Outgoing – your strong interpersonal and customer service skills allow you to interact with staff, and deal with customer questions, concerns and complaints in a personable manner.

Qualifications Required:
This position requires a Grade 12 Diploma and a Business Management Diploma with 3-5 years’ experience in food service/retail. A combination of Education and Experience will also be considered. Note: The Successful Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check upon commencement of employment.

Training Requirements: 
The Successful applicant must successfully complete a 2-week (Out of Country) Franchise Training as well as in-store training. Applicant must have a valid passport.
