Purchasing and Supply Chain Supervisor
Salary $45,430.86 – $51,490.89 annually
Situated in Coquitlam British Columbia, the Product Distribution Centre (PDC) is a Health Canada licenced inventory management and distribution facility established by the BC Government for use by BC Government ministries, Crown Corporations, government funded organizations, Municipal governments, and the Federal government. The PDC procures and distributes a wide range of products on behalf of Government clients and the Broader Public Sector. The facility includes a self-contained BC College of Pharmacists regulated dispensing pharmacy and 50,000 square foot warehouse. The business drivers are centered mainly on supply of health care products, medical services, pharmaceutical drugs, safety related products, and career apparel/uniforms products.
The Purchasing and Supply Chain Supervisor leads and supervises the Purchasing Buyers in the acquisition of approximately $30 million goods annually and administers the supply chain processes of a wide variety of contracted goods on behalf of clients for inventory management and Province- wide distribution. The Purchasing and Supply Chain Supervisor is a key role in connecting procurement and contract management practices with PDC supply chain operational functions. The position is responsible for administering Health Canada Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure regulatory compliance as related to the acquisition and recall process of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
Qualifications for this role include:
- Secondary school graduation and a minimum of 2 year’s supervision experience.
- 1 year minimum recent working experience in a logistics, supply chain, warehouse or inventory management environment.
- 1 year minimum recent experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems e.g. SAP.
- Completion of, or enrolled in SCMA/APICS/PCMP or an accredited Supply Chain Management or Procurement Program.
