Position Summary
Relocate to the stunning Kootenay Rockies region and enhance your Medical Laboratory leadership skills. We are currently hiring for a dynamic Grade III MLT for our Technical Lead, Microbiology position at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, B.C.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor based in Kelowna, as the Technical Lead for Microbiology you will be responsible for the overall quality testing performed within the Microbiology department. As the Technical Lead you will be expected have excellent communication, management and technical skills to be able to provide work direction to staff, monitor existing procedures and equipment and assist in the implementation of new methods and techniques as directed. This position also coordinates the quality management activities within the Microbiology area.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity. Days of work are Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 with weekends and stat days off. Qualifications
Medical Laboratory Technologist with current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS.
Minimum three (3) years’ recent, related experience required in all aspects of Microbiology including parasitology.
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the facility.
