Ability to communicate in English and Japanese orally and in writing is required

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Make transportation and accommodation reservations (e.g. hotel, car rental, and Japan Rail Pass) using computerized reservation and ticketing system (e.g. Global Distribution System) and counsel them about travel plans;
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs;
  • Attend to cancellations and schedule changes;
  • Provide travel information to clients regarding destinations, transportation and accommodation options and travel costs, and recommend suitable products;
  • Sell travel products and travel insurance
  • Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports to Travel Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager;
  • Handle emergency situations
  • Assist Japanese clients/guests to book domestic airplane tickets in Canada utilizing computer reservation systems (e.g. Global Distribution System) by closely communicating with Vancouver Office;
  • Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports to Travel Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager and/or Vancouver Office;
