Silver Spruce Resources-Labrador Inuit Land

BRIDGEWATER, NOVA SCOTIA–(Sept. 14, 2007) – Silver Spruce Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SSE)(FRANKFURT:S6Q) responds to concerns brought forward by the Nunatsiavut Government (News release of September 7, 2007) regarding mineral exploration by companies on Labrador Inuit Lands (LIL) as reported in the CBC news stories on September 12, 2007.

The CBC news stories gave the impression that Silver Spruce’s work on exploration properties in Labrador would have to cease due to permit problems with the Nunatsiavut Government. This perception is incorrect. Problems were incurred when preliminary exploration (prospecting, stream sediment sampling, line cutting and baseline environmental studies) was carried out on Labrador Inuit Lands in the Mount Benedict Area, prior to the submission of a work permit approval request, in contravention of Section 4.11 of the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement. This was an oversight by the company and the company immediately stopped all work on these lands, and has been in communication with the Nunatsiavut Government to discuss the issue since it was brought to the company’s attention.

Miramar Reports Update on Doris North Feasibility

Mon Aug 27, 2007

-Final Public hearing for water licence held August 13 – 14, 2007-

VANCOUVER – Miramar Mining Corporation today announced progress on the updated feasibility Study for Doris North Project and on the final public hearing held by the Nunavut Water Board on the water license application.

An update to the initial Doris North feasibility study announced in 2003 was expected to be announced in the second quarter of 2007. The two year Doris North project is scheduled to commence operations in the third quarter of 2008. It has become apparent to management that in order to allow the Company sufficient time to complete a feasibility study, environmental assessment, permitting and construction of Phase II to come on line without a production hiatus after Doris North, the mine life at Doris North must be extended. Consequently the scope of the updated Doris Feasibility study has been expanded to include additional production from the Doris Central zone. The study is now expected to be announced early in the fourth quarter of this year.

Pearl Announces Financial Results for Interim Period Ended June 30, 2007

CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Aug. 14, 2007) – Pearl Exploration and Production Ltd. (“Pearl” or the “Company”) (TSX Venture:PXX)(FIRST NORTH:PXXS) is pleased to announce the results of the three and nine months ended June 30, 2007.

The second quarter of calendar 2007 saw the Company continue with its stated goals of building a strong base of production and cash flow from its core properties in western Canada while pursuing high upside potential through steam pilot projects and acquisitions. Despite challenges from extreme cold weather in the first quarter and anomalously high rainfall in the second quarter, the Company was able to increase production levels by 14% (6,966 to 7,910 boepd) and revenues by 21% ($19.4 million to $23.5 million) during the quarter. These gains are expected to increase and continue throughout the remainder of 2007.

At Onion Lake, we are aggressively pushing forward our development project with 30 wells drilled this year and a production increase from approximately 350 at the end of the first calendar quarter to 1,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day at the time of writing of this letter. We are well along the way to implementing a steam flood pilot project which could have a dramatic impact on recoverable reserves. Due to positive results, we have elected to move 30 contingent wells to our firm capital budget and now expect Onion Lake to contribute between 4,000 and 4,400 barrels of oil equivalent per day to our bottom line numbers by the end of 2007. Relations with the Onion Lake First Nations continue to be good, and we look forward to a strong partnership in the future.
