THE TULSEQUAH CHIEF MINE PROJECT

Redcorp’s hoverbarge proposal for its Tulsequah Chief mine recently ran into heavy criticisms. These unfavorable reviews come as Redcorp is preparing permit applications to Alaska for its hoverbarge plan and as the harmonized British Columbia/Canadian federal government review is stalled in some key areas. Rough sailing may be ahead for the hoverbarge and Redcorp’s recently revised permitting schedule may well be unrealistic.

Baffinland Announces Plans to Expand Definitive Feasibility Study to 18 Million Tonnes Per Year for the Mary River Project

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Nov. 29, 2007) – Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation (TSX:BIM) (“Baffinland” or the “Company”) today announced revised plans for completion of the Definitive Feasibility Study (the “DFS”) for Deposit No. 1 of its 100%-owned Mary River Project, located in Nunavut Territory, Canada. As previously announced, the Company had initially targeted completion of a DFS for December of 2007 with an initial production rate of 12.6 million tonnes per year. Due to, among other things, the cumulative exploration success at Mary River and the continuing strength in the global iron ore market, the Company has now determined to expand its initial targeted production rate to 18 million tonnes per year. As a result, the Company now expects the DFS to be completed in February 2008. In light of the planned increase in the targeted production rate, as well as the decision to make Steensby Inlet on the south coast of Baffin Island our preferred port site and the general increase in costs since the original May 2006 Scoping Study, the Company now expects the initial capital costs for the Mary River Project to be significantly higher than the estimate for the 10 million tonnes per year scenario set out in the May 2006 Scoping Study.

NovaGold and Teck Cominco Suspend Construction at Galore Creek

Joint investor conference call
Monday, November 26 at 9:00 am EST (6:00 am PST)
Dial-in 1-866-898-9626

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Nov. 26, 2007) – NovaGold Resources Inc. (TSX:NG)(AMEX:NG) and Teck Cominco Limited (TSX:TCK.A)(TSX:TCK.B)(NYSE:TCK) today announced they will suspend construction activities at the Galore Creek copper-gold-silver project in northwestern British Columbia. A recent review and completion of the first season of construction indicate substantially higher capital costs and a longer construction schedule for the project. This, combined with reduced operating margins as a result of the stronger Canadian dollar, would make the project, as now conceived and permitted, uneconomic at current consensus long-term metal prices. NovaGold and Teck Cominco continue to view the property as a substantial resource and will initiate a comprehensive review to evaluate alternative development strategies. The Galore Creek partnership will conduct an orderly suspension of construction activities and will work with employees, the Tahltan Nation, local communities and other stakeholders to minimize the impacts of this decision.
