DFO Decision Necessitates Modified Development Plans For La Ronge Gold Project

Tues June 24, 2008

Saskatoon, June 24, 2008 – Golden Band Resources Inc. (GBN: TSXV) was advised by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) on June 20, 2008 that because fish now occur within the Mallard Tailings Management Facility (TMF), the Company’s Jolu Central Mill Gold Project requires a federal environmental screening under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA), to be followed by a Schedule 2 listing under the Metal Mining Effluent Regulations (MMER). While this listing process will delay the use of the TMF for tailings storage, Golden Band is developing alternative plans to using the TMF during the federal review period that will still allow the Company to continue with development of the project while it proceeds to comply with these federal requirements.

Weak Markets Force More Curtailments at Western Forest Products

DUNCAN, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(June 19, 2008) – Western Forest Products Inc. (TSX:WEF) (“Western” or “the Company”) will curtail production in July and August, 2008 due to weak lumber markets. Existing customer orders are unaffected.

Conditions for forest products remain weak in Western’s major markets, the United States and Japan. Demand for cedar products in the United States is also softening. Accordingly, to align log production with revised levels of anticipated demand, Western will curtail selected timber harvesting operations on Vancouver Island, the Queen Charlotte Islands and the Sunshine Coast during July and August. This reduction represents slightly more than half the normal timber harvesting undertaken during this period. These harvesting curtailments affect about 650 of Western’s hourly employees and 1,200 contractor employees.

Tres-Or extends New Kimberlite Breccia Discovery in Quebec

TSX Venture: TRS

TORONTO, June 18 – Tres-Or Resources Ltd. (“Tres-Or” or the “Company”) has extended our new discovery of kimberlite in Quebec, which we originally reported in a news release dated June 13, 2008. The second drill hole intersected kimberlite breccia from beneath overburden at 45 m (32 m vertical) to 130 m (81 m vertical), at an inclination of 45 degrees. At 130 m, the drill hole entered metasedimentary country rock until the end of the hole at 147 m. It was drilled from the north, and thus the kimberlite-metasediment contact at 130 m defines the southern wall of the body, which appears to be pipe-like in shape. Like the discovery hole, this second drill hole entered kimberlite directly from overburden, and thus the north boundary of the kimberlite remains open.
