Synex International Inc. Third Quarter of Fiscal 2008

TSE : SXI

VANCOUVER, May 13 – For the nine months ended March 31, 2008, revenue increased by 17% to $1,753,290 from $1,491,829 in the corresponding period in fiscal 2007. The increase was a result of increased revenue from the Engineering Division and increased electricity sales from the Kyuquot Utility offset by decreased sales from the Mears Creek Hydro Plant (the “Mears Plant”). The increase in revenue of the Engineering Division is a result of increased consulting activity and the increase in revenue of the Kyuquot Utility is a result of increased consumption of electricity by customers. The decrease in generation of the Mears Plant is a result of cooler than average temperatures during January to March 2008, resulting in lower runoff from snowmelt. Electricity generation from the Mears Plant for the nine months ended March 31, 2008 was 8,773 MWh as compared to 11,582 MWh in the corresponding period in fiscal 2007.
