2014 Champions for Change: Success in Indigenous Education

Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) is pleased to announce two keynote speakers for the upcoming Champions for Change Indigenous Education Conference set for Oct. 21 – 22, 2014 at Six Nations of the Grand River:
Janine Griffore, Assistant Deputy Minister of the French-Language, Aboriginal Learning and Research Division of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities will speak to opportunities on the horizon.
Bob Rae, Senior Partner at Olthuis Kleer Townshend (OKT) LLP speaks to education policy challenges and the impacts to Ontario based Indigenous owned and controlled post-secondary institutions.
SNP is a centre of excellence for Indigenous, community-based post-secondary education. SNP learners gain knowledge, confidence, and skills to continue studies and participate in the labour market while acquiring Hodinǫhśǫ:nih culture, language, values, and traditions. SNP has made incredible progress to revitalize and advance Hodinǫhśǫ:nih language and culture, increase academic achievement, retention, and completion rates of learners, and expand programming. The support of twenty-one education partners and eleven financial contributors makes our continued success possible.
