Joanne is Anishinaabe Kwe living north of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario and a member of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek. Joanne is a farmer, artist and writer. She also makes time to “Spot” water walkers as they walk to raise awareness about our responsibility to protect water. Joanne graduated with a degree in Fine Arts (Graphic Design and Native Arts & Culture) from Algoma University and Shingwauk Kinoomaage Gamig in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.
