The Honourable Jane Philpott Canada’s Minister of Indigenous Services Delivers the Opening Keynote Address at P3 2017
The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships is pleased to announce the Honourable Jane Philpott, Canada’s Minister of Indigenous Services, will present the Opening Keynote address at CCPPP’s 25th Annual Conference on Monday, November 6th, 2017 in Toronto.
The Honourable Jane Philpott Canada’s Minister of Indigenous Services
Prime Minister Trudeau appointed Minister Philpott as the first Minister of Indigenous Services on August 28, 2017 to continue improving the quality of services delivered to First Nations, Inuit and Métis people.
Minister Philpott will highlight the challenges in overcoming the infrastructure deficit in indigenous communities and discuss the need for innovative solutions, including partnerships among these communities, government and the private sector. This innovation will be important as we work with Indigenous partners to build clean drinking water facilities, safe schools, all-season roads, clean and reliable energy, broadband connectivity, and housing in indigenous communities.
P32017 is all about forward thinking. It’s about opening our minds to delivering infrastructure in ways that haven’t yet been imagined. It’s about preparing for the evolution of a highly successful P3 model and avoiding the trap of saying “We’ve always done it that way”.
