Aboriginal chair for tourism association – The Daily Courier

In recognition that Aboriginal Tourism is burgeoning in the region, Frank Antoine of Quaaout Lodge in Chase has been elected chairman of the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association.

Antoine is cultural co-ordinator at Quaaout Lodge & Spa at Talking Rock Golf Resort, which is affiliated with the Little Shuswap Lake Indian Band.

He was elected at the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association’s recent annual general meeting and summit in Kamloops.

Quaaout, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, is a 70-room resort with spa, 18-hole golf course, Jack Sam’s restaurant serving Indigenous dishes, kekuli, sweat lodge and Native interpretive programs.
