AFNQL Public Debate
WENDAKE, QC, March 16 – As part of its campaign entitled “First Nations: Essential to the Future of Quebec,” the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador (AFNQL) has invited the five major political parties to take part in a public debate about the First Nations. The debate will be held on Tuesday, March 20 at the Maison Théâtre in Montreal (245 rue Ontario Est). It will begin at 7 p.m. The AFNQL invites journalists and the public to attend this free event.

The Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador is the regional organization representing the Chiefs of the First Nations in Quebec and Labrador. It has published a document entitled “Final Summon to Provincial Political Parties” (available online at www.appelultime-finalsummon.com). This document presents the principles held by the First Nations and the key issues they are facing today.
