SYDNEY, N.S. —
A collective working to regenerate downtown Sydney is looking for two artists to work as a team on a reconciliation mural.
The selected artists — one must be Mi’kmaw and the other from a different cultural background — will collaborate on the wall mural and render images that express their cultural understanding of reconciliation and Two-Eyed Seeing, the latter meaning that one sees the strengths of Indigenous knowledge through one eye and the strength of Western knowledge through the other.
The artwork will be on south-facing wall of the Undercurrent Youth Centre on the corner of Prince and Bentinck streets and will encompass both the long wall and a curved portion of the building’s exterior.
