About the Indigenous Youth Leadership Project
On behalf of the Aboriginal Sport and Wellness Council of Ontario our purpose is to construct opportunities for youth to be heard, facilitate the collective impact process, and coordinate the people in the process.
Our mission is to create large-scale social change from cross-sector coordination rather than from the isolated intervention of individual organizations through a process known as Collective Impact.
The goals of this project are to engage government officials, educators, businesses, non-profits, and Indigenous peoples in collectively defining issues and solutions in the Indigenous community surrounding youth leadership; develop an Indigenous Leaders-in-Training program based on our findings and collective efforts; and share our findings with other organizations to maximize resource utilization by Indigenous youth.
We are always seeking new communities we can facilitate an Indigenous Leadership Discussion. We provide morning leadership programming and we will facilitate a youth leadership discussion with your youth.
We are interested in collaborating with many organizations to launch the Indigenous Leaders-in-Training Program in your region and community.
Lend a hand in little ways to show support:
- Sign up for our email list
- Share our emails and posters
- Spread positive words of our project
- Encourage youth to participate in the Leaders-in-Training Program for Indigenous Youth 14 to 24 years of age
