Author Keynoter at Prestigious Event
March 5, 2012 – Attorney, entrepreneur and author Calvin Helin will be a keynote speaker for the eighth Governor General’s Leadership Conference held since 1983. The prestigious conference will hold its open plenary session in Halifax from June 1 to 3, 2012. The plenary will be followed by study tours which will travel to different regions of Canada.
The event brings together Canada’s future leaders from business, labour, government, education, and the cultural sector aimed at broadening their perspectives on work, leadership, their communities and their country. The mission of the Governor General’s Leadership Conference is to: • Improve decision-making abilities among young leaders likely to occupy high level positions in the near future;
• Facilitate a more progressive era of interaction between leaders from business, labour, government and the broader community; and
• Broaden understanding of Canada.
Mr. Helin is a speaker in international demand following the huge success of his now 7-times best selling book Dances with Dependency and the 2011 release of The Economic Dependency Trap which was recently selected as a finalist in the USA Best Books Awards. Very soon in 2012 the author will be releasing his third book The Empowerment Mindset.
