Award Increased To 17,645 In Hilary Bonnell Investigation, Burnt Church, N.B.

The RCMP are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of 16-year old Hilary Bonnell. The Burnt Church teen went missing on September 5, 2009.The award offered by the Chief and Council from the Burnt Church First Nation and donations received from people attending the Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs, now stands at $15,645. In addition, New Brunswick Crime Stoppers is also offering an up to $2000 maximum award for information leading to Hilary’s whereabouts.

Bonnell was last seen on September 5 at approximately 7:30 a.m. walking on Highway 11 in the Burnt Church First Nation. She is described as being 1.65 m tall (5 feet 5 inches) and weighs 61 kg (134lbs). She is aboriginal and has dark brown eyes and long black hair. She was wearing a purple T-shirt, a black sweater, blue denim shorts and sandals. Since that time, there have been extensive searches conducted by the police, partner agencies and numerous volunteers.
