BC Aboriginal Healthy Living Activities 2012/13 -Community Leader Training Conferences and Grant Opportunity

Hello interested participants of the BC Aboriginal Healthy Living Activities (AHLA)!
With 2013 around the corner, the Aboriginal Sport, Recreation & Physical Activity Partners Council is gearing up for a new year of the AHLA program. Working in partnership with SportMedBC, the AHLA program will kick off with 5 leader training sessions, in selected regions of the province. Leader training workshops will take place in October, November and December respectively – attached you will find a registration form with dates and locations.
Please note, when filling out your application form you will be selecting ONE participating option: Honour Your Health Challenge leader training or Aboriginal RunWalk Leader Training. Please read the bulletin and the travel policy before filling out your form . Registration forms can be sent back to Susan Nguyen at susann@sportmedbc.com or faxed to 604-929-3877.

We are attempting to increase the number of male participants. If anyone knows of men working in the health area or employed by an aboriginal organization, please encourage them to register.
Please note that registration is limited, once your registration form is received you will be notified of acceptance.
We are all excited for the ARW 2013 program and the Aboriginal Healthy Living Activities initiative to begin and look forward to building on the success of 2012!
