The Heiltsuk, Haida, Nuu Chuh Nulth and Kitasoo Xais Xais and other Coastal First Nations will be signing a BC First Nations Declaration on Solidarity

WHY:

The 2015 War on the Water over the destruction of BC Coastal First Nations Herring Fisheries led to Coastal Nations uniting including the Heiltsuk Nation, Haida Nation, the Nuu Cuh Nulth and Kitasoo Xais Xais Nations in opposition to the DFO and Federal Government’s blatant attempts to clear out the herring fisheries which were not at a level to support sustainable fisheries in the Westcoast of BC.
