It may be a brand new year, but the battle for equality for First Nations kids in Canada has been ongoing for 12 years.
Next week, the federal government is back in front of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal defending its progress on implementing Jordan’s Principle, a measure that’s supposed to ensure First Nations kids in need of care, don’t fall between federal and provincial cracks.
Cindy Blackstock joined Host Melissa Ridgen from our Ottawa bureau to talk about what can be expected.
