NationTalk speaks with Brenda LaRose and Laurie Sterritt of Leaders International. Brenda LaRose, founder of Higgins Executive Search in 1999, speaks of her company’s past and events leading up to a merger with Leaders International in the spring of 2017. LaRose continues to speaks on the labour market in Canada, she notes as having a current shortage of skilled workers at the senior professional level, as well as the exciting growth and inclusion of Indigenous professionals in the Canadian workforce.
Laurie Sterritt, who recently started as a partner with Leaders International, explains her own background as a Gitxsan woman from BC who has been involved, professionally, with human resources and aboriginal affairs in her rather considerable experience. Laurie notes that her role with Leaders International is a natural evolution in her professional life that aligns well with the climate of business and professional needs that exist across Canada.
