Call for Speakers
CANDO is pleased to announce a Call for Speakers for the 14th Annual National Conference & AGM “7th Generation Economies” to be held October 22 – 25, 2007. This is your opportunity to share your experiences, stories, and wisdom with fellow professionals working in Aboriginal community economic development. Conference workshop themes reflect the multiple bottom lines of Community Economic Development: social, cultural, economic and environmental.
The program will be of interest to all, from the beginner Aboriginal community economic developer to the advanced practitioner. We will examine urban, rural, remote challenges, and offer exposure to diverse perspectives including: First Nation, Métis, and Inuit, and showcase entrepreneurial approaches in Aboriginal community economic development. We are asking that speakers reflect on factors and trends surrounding Seven Generation Economies.
