AFOA Canada is now accepting registrations for the CAPA In-Person Program

AFOA Canada is pleased to announce the first 3-day session of the CAPA In-Person Program.  This highly interactive and participatory 18 day program that provides Senior Administrators, Chief Executive Officers and Senior Mangers working in Aboriginal communities and organizations with the knowledge and skills needed to become effective administrators.  Session facilitators and guest speakers are specialists in their fields and proficient in Aboriginal matters.

CURRICULUM

Session 1 of the CAPA In-Person Program focuses on Emotional and Relationship Competencies and covers the following topics: Human Resource Management; Communication Essentials; and Emotional Intelligence & Professional Development.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of CAPA In-Person Application Form
  • Submission of Current Resume
  • Submission of Job Description
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Submission of Application Fee

PROGRAM COSTS (plus applicable taxes)

  • Application Fee of $500 is non-refundable
  • Members:6 sessions x $2,500 per session
  • Non-members: 6 sessionsx $3,000 per session

All six sessions for the CAPA Cohort 1 will take place at the Edmonton Marriott at River Cree Resort, located on the territory of the Enoch Cree Nation in Alberta at 300 East Lapotac Blvd.
