Thunder Bay, ON — The largest forestry union in Ontario has invited all candidates in the provincial election, for the two Thunder Bay area ridings, to a debate on the crisis in Ontario’s forest industry.

“I’m astounded that there has not been more debate and discussion on this crucial issue so important to the people of Northern Ontario,” says Cec Makowski, Ontario Vice-President of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada. “It’s time to take the bull by horns and find out what the candidates think, and more importantly, what they intend to do about it.”
