WINNIPEG, MANITOBA– (December 20, 2007) – Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people alike will be coming from across Manitoba to show their support for the planned McKelvey Family Christmas fundraiser. The McKelvey’s are recent victims of a December 4th fire that destroyed “all” their possessions. The family is grateful for the show of support to-date, especially with things being so close to Christmas. Hank Horton & Wildwood Country, plus several other recording artists will be performing at the planned event. The event is set to take place at the Indian & Métis Friendship Centre on Saturday, December 22, 2007 with all proceeds raised to go toward the family and getting their lives somewhat back to normal.
“These people need our help and we organized a fundraiser for them,” said Hank Horton of Hank Horton Productions. “We are looking for people with “BIG HEARTS” and your generous donations will help this family find a home and hopefully have a good Christmas.”
