Cinéfest Sudbury Announces CTV Best In Shorts Competition Finalists

Cinéfest Sudbury is thrilled to announce the 2009 finalists for the CTV BEST IN SHORTS COMPETITION. The screening of the finalist’s films will take place on Saturday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. at SilverCity Sudbury Cinemas, located at 355 Barrydowne Road in Sudbury.The 2009 Finalists are:

SIX FEET, Robert Bernard Armieri, Sudbury
SOPHIE & SARA, Eric Boissoneault, North Bay
FISH LOVE, Josee Prud’Homme, Thunder Bay
TELL ME, Kevin Hoffman, North Bay
OVER THE SUNSET, Jon Kapashesit, Moosonee
VS., Ben Bruhmuller, Sudbury
Curator: Kristine Estorninos, Ouat Media
Jurors: Brandon Nutt (Executive Producer, FINDING BLISS), Benjamin Paquette (Director & Writer, THE WOMAN OF AHHS), Todd Robson (CTV Northern Ontario)
The CTV Best in Shorts awards will be presented after the screening in the following categories:
Open Category – (1st Prize: $2,500; 2nd Prize: $1000; 3rd Prize: $500)
Student Category – Best Student Film $ 1,000
The Northern Flicks Award – $1000 Sponsored by Sault College
The 21st edition of Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival runs from September 19th – 27th, 2009.
