Colten Boushie Memorial Today –

Members of the Saskatchewan RCMP are expected to attend a memorial which will take place today (WEDS) in North Battleford.

It’s a gathering for the family who are paying tribute to 22-year old Colten Boushie, who was shot to death on a farm near Biggar on Aug. 9, 2016Alvin Baptiste, is Boushie’s uncle. In a recent interview he said the past year has been difficult for Boushie’s family.Baptiste said the family invited the RCMP to the memorial.Boushie was shot and killed August 9, 2016 while riding in an SUV that drove into a farm near Biggar, Sask. According to a friend riding with Bouchie, the two were heading home to the Red Pheasant First Nation after an afternoon of swimming. 55-year old Gerald Stanley of the Biggar area has been charged with second-degree murder in Boushie’s death.
