Corporate Leaders Join Aboriginal and Minority-Owned Businesses at the 14th Annual CAMSC Business Achievement Awards Gala Showcasing Supplier Diversity Excellence

CAMSC Builds Momentum Towards Greater Economic Growth in Aboriginal and Diverse Communities

TORONTO, ONT. – September 6, 2018 – The Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) will host its annual Business Achievement Awards at Toronto’s Liberty Grand on Thursday, September 27th. The event will mark 14 years of honouring a diverse and growing group of Aboriginal and minority-owned businesses and leading corporations dedicated to supplier diversity in Canada.

With a mandate to facilitate inclusion of Aboriginal and minority-owned suppliers, the CAMSC’s support of these important groups has been key to the economic growth and solid business relationships that have occurred within the Canadian supply chain. With each passing year, CAMSC has played a pivotal role in increasing minority visibility across Canada’s economic landscape.

This year’s event promises to be a memorable one with Master of Ceremonies Brandon Gonez from CTV’s Your Morning as well as Mohamad Fakih of Paramount Fine Foods as the special keynote. As MC, Gonez will bring his energetic and lively persona to the evening’s festivities. Fakih, as the keynote speaker, will inspire attendees as a shining example of a minority-owned businesses’ success story – much like the many honourees who will be attending the gala event. The Lebanese-born entrepreneur has a firsthand understanding of the minority experience, as he came to Canada from Beirut and built his business to the success that it is today, with 60 Paramount Fine Foods restaurants found around the globe.
