Cree/Métis speaker inspires ENSS students with his life story – Northumberland News

BRIGHTON — Raised in poverty by a single mother who drank, shuffled off to foster homes periodically, and subjected to racism in the community, Earl Lambert defied the odds.

After spending time in and out of juvenile detention centres and part of his early adult life in correctional facilities, Lambert, a Cree/Métis, went on to become a popular motivational speaker who’s booked months in advance across Canada.

His busy schedule recently included a visit to East Northumberland Secondary School, where he delivered life lessons he’s learned to a full assembly — combining candour, wit, music and magic to make his points.
