Due to unprecedented demand the nomination deadline for Music and Film in Motion’s (MFM) sixth annual Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards and Conference (NOMFAC) has been extended. Nominees now have until October 24th at 5 p.m. to enter their submissions for this year’s program.“It’s really incredible the feedback we’ve had this year” says Dennis Landry, MFM’s Executive Director. “There are a lot of people this year that just needed a little extra time to get their submissions in and luckily we’re in a position to accommodate them!”

The Film Award categories for 2009 are Best Film, Best Director, Best Film Editor, Best Cinematography, and Best Screenplay. The Music Award categories for 2009 are Best Album, Best Songwriter, Best Engineer, Best Presenter, and Best Vocal Performance.
